Friends Only Lockdown

So, regrettably, the time has come for me to make my LJ "friends only". As a general statement, I don't give a damn what people read/know about me which is why it's been a public blog for so long, but apparently someone somehow related to my job has started taking notice and directing my co-workers'/superiors' attention to it. I'm not keen on having another discussion with my DM about a post taken out of context or blown out of proportion.

So I'm rolling up the welcome mat, raising the drawbridge, all that jazz.

I did a f-list purge recently to cut down on the pages of entires I was dealing with. I tried not to cut out anyone who commented regularly, though. If you got the axe, please don't take it personally, and if you want back in, just let me know.

As for new people -- feel free to reply here if you're interested in reading my ramblings.

I don't even remember how we came to have friended each other but I've enjoyed reading about your schoolwork and now your job.

And I hear you about going friends only.. I pretty much became FO in Oct 2004 when things went really south with the enemies of my rescue's founder who went after everyone still involved.

For a while now I've really been wanting to go public again (by resurrecting my non LJ site, my posts used to be mirrored here, not originated here) but now I'm so much more conscious (read: paranoid) about what I say publicly. :(

You shouldn't have gotten the cut! No no no, I wouldn't have cut you. According to my f-list, you're still in. I'm tre confused. Will investiage and insure you are, in fact, still in.

Well, I think we're heading to Fest this weekend. Not sure of any details, but if you're interested, let me know. :) iirc, you work saturday until 06:00ish. So if you ended up spending that night sleeping, you'd be all set for going out an playing on saturday (which is most likely when we'll go).

But like I said, nothing definate yet, but let me know if you're interested and I'll keep you aprised. :)

Actually, I work from 0600 on Saturday to 0600 on Sunday. And since this particular Saturday is St. Patty's Day and my station runs to Mill Ave, I imagine we won't sleep a wink. Consequently, I'll probably drop like a stone into my bed Sunday morn. But keep me updated, nonetheless!

First, that sucks.

Second, supposedly in the next few days LJ is suppose to role out a new
set of mass lock down features for paid members.

Third, I miss you. We should fix that sometime.

That sucks. I had to lock a bunch of my stuff do to some issues with people on my friends list and Drama-Rama.

Sorry that people at work are causing drama for you. You use this as a tool to reflect and analize hard situations. If I was your boss, I would recomend locking, but encourage you to continue writing about your calls.
