"What's your favourite book?" or "What book(s) do you recommend?" has come up more often than normal as of late.  I've been meaning to make this list for a while and now seems like a great time since it will give me yet another excuse to lounge about instead of doing something productive.  Most of these are ones I've read in the past 6 years or so, and have rated highly.
